Our client is looking for a seasoned Director of Supply Chain Operations to lead and transform their supply chain functions in Glasgow . This senior role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that optimize procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Oversee all aspects of procurement, logistics, warehousing, and transportation operations.
- Manage inventory levels effectively to meet demand while minimizing holding costs and obsolescence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners.
- Implement and utilize advanced supply chain planning and execution systems.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of supply chain professionals.
Requirements
- MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management and logistics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving significant cost savings and efficiency improvements in complex supply chains.
- Expertise in global logistics, procurement strategies, and inventory management techniques.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts.
- Proficiency in supply chain planning software and ERP systems.
