Job Description
Associate Director & Director of Health Economics - UK (Remote/Flexible)
Are you a senior Health Economist who still enjoys building models rather than simply reviewing them?
We're partnered with a highly respected specialist HEOR & Market Access consultancy to appoint a Associate Director & Director of Health Economics. Unlike many Director-level positions, this role offers the opportunity to remain deeply involved in the technical delivery of projects while leading complex global engagements for some of the world's most innovative pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced consultant who enjoys balancing hands-on health economic modelling , project leadership , and client partnership within a collaborative, scientifically driven environment.
The Role
As a Director, you will take ownership of high-profile international HEOR programmes, leading multidisciplinary project teams while remaining actively involved in the technical development and quality of health economic models.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design and delivery of complex health economic modelling projects, including cost-effectiveness, cost-utility and budget impact models.
- Remaining hands-on with model development , validation, review and methodological decision-making.
- Managing multiple client programmes from project initiation through to final delivery, ensuring exceptional scientific quality and client satisfaction.
- Providing strategic input into HTA submissions and payer evidence generation across international markets, including NICE and other global HTA agencies.
- Acting as the primary client contact, building trusted long-term partnerships with global pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations.
- Mentoring and developing consultants and senior consultants, fostering technical excellence across the team.
- Supporting proposal development, business growth and the continued expansion of the consultancy's Health Economics practice.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with individuals who bring:
- Significant experience delivering Health Economics and HEOR projects within a consultancy environment.
- Advanced expertise in developing and leading health economic models, with the confidence to remain technically involved at Director level.
- A strong track record of managing complex, multi-workstream projects from proposal through to successful delivery.
- Experience supporting HTA submissions and payer evidence generation for international markets.
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and develop long-term partnerships.
- Previous experience mentoring or leading project teams within a consulting environment.
- A collaborative mindset, strong commercial awareness and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality, evidence-driven work.
If you're looking for a Associate Director / Director role that combines technical modelling, project leadership and meaningful client impact, rather than simply overseeing delivery from a distance, this is an opportunity well worth exploring!
