About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join their team in Reading , providing essential care and assistance to individuals with diverse disabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities in line with their support plans.
• Facilitate client participation in community activities, hobbies, and social events.
• Support clients in managing their health needs, including attending appointments and administering medication.
• Promote independence and build positive relationships, respecting clients' dignity and choices.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition.
• Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other support services.

Requirements

• Previous experience in supporting individuals with disabilities is essential.
• Knowledge of various disabilities and adaptive support techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and patience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and respect.
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care are advantageous.
