Distribution Center Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Manager to lead their operations in Plymouth . This senior role is responsible for the overall management of the distribution center, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. You will manage a large team, optimize warehouse processes, and implement strategies to meet delivery targets and operational KPIs. This is a critical leadership position within our supply chain network.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, throughput, and cost management.
• Manage and motivate a large workforce, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and teamwork.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage budgets and control operational expenditures within the distribution center.
• Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) for optimal inventory control and tracking.

Requirements

• Significant experience in Distribution Center Management or a senior logistics leadership role.
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs in a large-scale warehouse environment.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of WMS, inventory control, and supply chain best practices.
• Experience with health and safety compliance in a warehouse setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
