Distribution Centre Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Distribution Centre Supervisor to lead a team in their facility located in Bradford . This role is critical in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the distribution centre, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. You will be responsible for managing shift performance, supporting your team, and implementing operational improvements. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of warehouse operations and excellent leadership qualities, contributing significantly to the overall success of our logistics network.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct warehouse staff during shifts, ensuring productivity and quality targets are met.
• Monitor warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage inventory accuracy and stock rotation within the distribution centre.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and distribution processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Commitment to upholding health and safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid operational model in Bradford .
