About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Distribution Centre Team Lead to guide a team within their busy facility in Nottingham . This role requires a proactive individual who can lead by example, ensuring efficient operations, fostering a positive team environment, and achieving departmental targets. You will be responsible for supervising daily activities, providing guidance and support to team members, and contributing to the overall smooth running of the distribution centre, ensuring accuracy and productivity are maintained at high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of warehouse operatives.
• Ensure that all tasks, including picking, packing, and dispatching, are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Provide training, coaching, and motivation to team members to enhance performance and development.
• Monitor team performance against key metrics and implement improvement strategies.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with warehouse management to report on team progress and operational challenges.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
