About the Role

Our client is looking for an energetic and efficient Distribution Centre Team Leader to manage and motivate a team within their busy facility in Oxford . You will lead by example, coordinating daily tasks, resolving immediate issues, and fostering a positive and productive team culture. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring high levels of productivity and efficiency.
• Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, order picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure all team members adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Monitor team performance against targets and provide feedback and coaching.
• Assist with inventory management, ensuring accuracy and minimising discrepancies.
• Address operational issues promptly and escalate complex problems as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment, with demonstrable leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes, including inventory control and order fulfillment.
• Excellent people management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Basic IT skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems are beneficial.
