Distribution Network Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly strategic and experienced Distribution Network Manager to lead their remote operations. This senior role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing an efficient and cost-effective distribution network that supports the company's growth objectives. You will analyze network performance, identify optimal locations for facilities, and oversee the flow of goods from origin to final destination, all within a remote-first framework. Key Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and manage the company's distribution network to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Analyze network performance metrics, identify trends, and implement strategic improvements.
• Evaluate and select optimal locations for warehouses and distribution centers based on logistical and business needs.
• Oversee the management of third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Develop and implement strategies for inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation and warehousing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align distribution strategies with overall business goals.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in distribution network management , logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Demonstrated success in designing and optimizing complex logistics networks.
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in network modeling and simulation tools.
• Proven ability to manage remote teams and external partners effectively.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
