Distribution Team Leader

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Distribution Team Leader to manage a team within their busy distribution center in Norwich . This role requires a natural leader who can guide, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse operatives to achieve operational targets. You will be responsible for overseeing daily distribution activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve performance targets.
• Oversee daily distribution operations, including order picking, packing, dispatch, and loading.
• Ensure that all warehouse activities are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and training.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in stock management tasks.
• Work closely with warehouse management to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution environment , with some leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and distribution processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Basic IT skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
