About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and resilient Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join their dedicated team in Bristol . You will operate on a hybrid model, combining direct client support, including refuge work and community outreach, with remote administrative and planning duties. Key Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to individuals experiencing or fleeing domestic abuse.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans tailored to individual needs.
• Assist clients in accessing appropriate services, including legal aid, housing, and counselling.
• Offer advocacy and support during interactions with external agencies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records, adhering to strict data protection policies.
• Facilitate support groups and workshops for survivors of domestic abuse.

Requirements

• Previous experience in supporting victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable groups.
• In-depth understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work empathetically and non-judgmentally, maintaining professional boundaries.
• Proficiency in IT systems for case management and reporting.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional evenings, and undertake necessary travel in the Bristol area.
