Position : Domestic Assistant

Location : Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, TS20 2PH

Contract type : Permanent – 40 hours per week

Rate : £12.71 per hour

Job Overview

As a Domestic Assistant at Tees Grange care home, you will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout all areas of the home, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily and weekly cleaning routines, including dusting, mopping, polishing and vacuuming.
• Clean and tidy designated areas such as bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and other common facilities.
• Operate equipment such as carpet cleaning machines.
• Wash and dry laundry as required.
• Report breakages, damage, defects and hazards promptly.
• Support residents by upholding choice, dignity and independence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred but not essential.
• Commitment to fun, integrity, responsiveness, success and teamwork.
• Keen eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and listening skills.
