About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Drilling Operations Supervisor to oversee drilling and well completion activities for their projects based out of Coventry . This role is pivotal in ensuring that all drilling operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of drilling crews, equipment, and contractors, striving for operational excellence. This position is ideal for an experienced professional within the Oil & Gas sector who possesses strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of drilling technologies and safety protocols, supporting operations primarily in onshore locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all drilling and well intervention operations, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental policies.
- Manage drilling crews, equipment, and service providers to achieve operational objectives safely and efficiently.
- Monitor drilling progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies promptly.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of drilling parameters, daily reports, and equipment status.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections to foster a robust safety culture.
- Participate in the planning and execution of drilling programs and post-operational reviews.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in onshore drilling operations , with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing drilling crews and complex operations.
- In-depth knowledge of drilling equipment, tools, procedures, and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., IADC WellSharp) are highly advantageous.
