About the Role
Our client requires an experienced Drilling Supervisor to manage and oversee drilling operations for their projects based out of Liverpool, Merseyside, UK . This hands-on role demands strong leadership and technical expertise to ensure drilling campaigns are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of drilling crews, equipment, and activities, ensuring adherence to all safety and environmental standards. This position is crucial for maintaining operational integrity and driving performance on the rig. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our client's commitment to operational excellence in the Oil & Gas sector, working closely with the team in Liverpool .
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all drilling activities on the rig, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Manage drilling crews, ensuring adequate training, performance, and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor drilling parameters, operational performance, and equipment status, making real-time adjustments as needed.
- Ensure efficient execution of drilling programs and troubleshoot any operational issues or challenges.
- Maintain accurate drilling logs and reports, communicating progress and critical information to management.
- Oversee rig operations, including maintenance, inventory management, and contractor coordination.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a driller or assistant drilling supervisor, with a strong technical background.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills in a drilling environment.
- In-depth knowledge of drilling practices, equipment, well control procedures, and safety protocols.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IWCF Level 4) are essential.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management for offshore and onshore projects.
