£13.05 per hour | Overtime £19.58 (over 48 hours)

Weekend availability is mandatory please do not apply if you are unable to work at least one day of the weekend.

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting Drivers Mates to work alongside experienced 7.5t lorry drivers for a well-established client based in Mossend .

The Role

As a Drivers Mate , you will assist the driver with the delivery of large items to residential properties, including:

• Flat-pack furniture
• Gym equipment
• White goods

This is a physically demanding role and requires a good level of fitness, as heavy lifting is involved.

There may also be the opportunity to progress into a Van Driver position with the client for suitable candidates, subject to the required experience, driving licence and company requirements.

For candidates who perform well in the Drivers Mate role, there may be future opportunities to progress to Van Driver work with the client.

If you have a full driving licence , are physically fit, reliable and looking for a role with the potential to develop into a driving position, we would be keen to hear from you.

Working Hours & Shifts

• The client operates 7 days a week
• You will receive a weekly allocation of 4 shifts , with the opportunity to work up to 5 or 6 shifts if you want them
• Weekend work is required and expected
• Start time: 06:00
• Shift length: approximately 911 hours per day

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the xwwtmva driver with the safe delivery of goods
• Calling customers ahead of arrival to provide delivery updates
• Delivering excellent customer service at all times
• Acting as a Banksman when the lorry is reversing (full training provided)
• Safely handling and moving heavy items
• Working as part of a two-person delivery team
