E&I Maintenance Technician Temporary Contract

Location: Royston
Contract: Temporary, approximately 36 months
Shift Pattern: 5 and 4 block rotation
Hours: 12.5-hour shifts, 6:30am7:00pm, including weekends

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced E&I Technician to join a precious metals refinery chemical plant based in Royston on a temporary contract for approximately 36 months.

The successful candidate will provide electrical and instrumentation support across the plant, assisting with breakdowns, fault finding, troubleshooting, maintenance and installation activities. This is a hands-on role within a chemical processing environment, where strong knowledge of COMPEX and ATEX requirements is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and instrumentation support across the refinery and chemical plant.
• Respond to plant breakdowns and assist with fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues to minimise plant downtime.
• Support maintenance activities across electrical, instrumentation and associated plant systems.
• Carry out installation, modification and maintenance work as required.
• Work safely within a hazardous chemical-processing environment.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety procedures, permits and relevant standards.
• Support the wider maintenance team with planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Identify potential equipment issues and contribute to preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to maintenance and engineering activities. xwwtmva
• Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to ensure reliable plant operation.
