E-commerce Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical E-commerce Analyst to play a key role in understanding and improving online sales performance. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to provide actionable insights into customer behaviour, sales trends, and marketing campaign effectiveness. This role is vital for optimizing the online customer journey and supporting strategic decision-making for the e-commerce business in Liverpool . The ideal candidate has a strong quantitative background, proficiency with data analysis tools, and a passion for uncovering insights that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to website traffic, sales, customer behaviour, and marketing performance.
• Develop dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for e-commerce operations and marketing campaigns.
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to optimize website design, user experience, and conversion rates.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and IT teams to understand data needs and deliver relevant analytical support.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging analytical tools and techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Analyst , Data Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) and understanding of e-commerce metrics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
