About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative E-commerce Data Scientist to join their fully remote team. You will play a pivotal role in extracting valuable insights from vast datasets to drive strategic decisions across all aspects of the e-commerce business, including customer behavior, sales trends, and marketing effectiveness. This position requires a strong blend of analytical, statistical, and machine learning expertise, coupled with the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will be instrumental in developing predictive models and data-driven solutions to enhance customer experience and optimize business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze e-commerce data.
- Identify key trends, patterns, and correlations in customer behavior, sales, and marketing data.
- Build predictive models for customer lifetime value, churn prediction, and product recommendations.
- Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of various initiatives.
- Create insightful reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate data-driven solutions into the e-commerce platform.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on e-commerce or online businesses.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with SQL and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
