E-commerce Merchandiser

About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and commercially-minded E-commerce Merchandiser to enhance their online product presentation and sales performance. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. You will be responsible for optimizing product listings, managing website categorization, and implementing visual merchandising strategies to drive conversion rates and improve the customer shopping experience. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, and the ability to analyze sales data to make informed merchandising decisions. This position is key to ensuring our products are showcased effectively and appealingly to our online customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize product catalog data, including descriptions, images, pricing, and specifications, for maximum online visibility and conversion.
• Develop and implement effective visual merchandising strategies on the e-commerce website to highlight key products and promotions.
• Manage website category pages, ensuring logical navigation and effective product placement to enhance user experience.
• Analyze sales data, website traffic, and customer behavior to identify trends and opportunities for product assortment and placement optimization.
• Collaborate with marketing and buying teams to plan and execute online promotions and campaigns.
• Ensure product information accuracy and consistency across all online channels.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Merchandiser or in a related online merchandising role.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce principles, website navigation, and user experience best practices.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and product information management (PIM) systems.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and translate it into merchandising actions.
• A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics for product presentation.
• Proficiency in content management systems and basic HTML/CSS is a plus.
