About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive E-commerce Operations Lead to manage and optimize their online retail operations from their Nottingham base. This role is central to ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the e-commerce platform, from order fulfillment to inventory management and customer service excellence. You will be responsible for implementing efficient processes and driving continuous improvement to enhance the customer experience and support business growth. This position requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of e-commerce logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end e-commerce order fulfillment process, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain stock availability.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead and mentor the e-commerce operations team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Monitor key operational metrics (e.g., order accuracy, delivery times, inventory turnover) and report on performance.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve any order-related issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in e-commerce operations management or a similar logistics/supply chain role.
- Strong understanding of order fulfillment, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and order management systems (OMS).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze operational data and implement data-driven improvements.
