E-commerce Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic E-commerce Operations Manager to lead their online business operations, supporting their retail presence in Reading . This is a pivotal remote role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the e-commerce platform, including website management, order fulfillment, inventory control, and customer service operations. You will drive efficiency, optimize processes, and ensure a seamless online customer journey. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices, and a proven track record of managing and scaling online retail operations effectively in a virtual capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the company's e-commerce platform, ensuring a user-friendly and efficient online experience.
• Oversee the entire order fulfillment process, from order placement to final delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and implement strategies for inventory management across online channels to meet demand and minimize costs.
• Lead and manage the remote customer service team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Analyze e-commerce data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for operational improvement.
• Collaborate with marketing and IT teams to launch new products, promotions, and website features.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Operations Manager or in a senior e-commerce role.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, order management systems (OMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams and operations effectively.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
• Proficiency in e-commerce analytics tools and reporting.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
