E-commerce Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced E-commerce Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their online retail business in Leeds, West Yorkshire . This role is critical for ensuring efficient order fulfillment, inventory management, customer service, and logistical coordination. You will be responsible for optimizing operational processes, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the e-commerce supply chain. This is a key leadership position for an individual passionate about operational excellence in a dynamic online retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize all aspects of the e-commerce fulfillment process, including warehousing, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Oversee inventory management systems to ensure stock accuracy and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and other suppliers.
• Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to order accuracy, on-time delivery, and operational costs.
• Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Significant experience in e-commerce operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Proven ability to manage warehouse operations and inventory control systems.
• Strong understanding of shipping carriers, fulfillment strategies, and international shipping regulations.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using e-commerce platforms and operations management software.
• Analytical skills to interpret operational data and implement data-driven improvements.
