About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and strategic E-commerce Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of their online sales operations based in Coventry . This role is critical to ensuring a seamless customer experience from click to delivery. You will be responsible for managing inventory, order fulfillment, logistics, and customer service operations, ensuring efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices, and a proven ability to optimize operational workflows in a fast-paced retail environment, contributing directly to the company's growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize the entire e-commerce order fulfillment process, including inventory management, warehousing, and shipping.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer journey.
- Monitor key operational metrics (e.g., order accuracy, shipping times, inventory turnover) and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage the e-commerce platform's backend, including product listings, pricing, and promotions.
- Lead and train the e-commerce operations team, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce operations management, with a strong focus on logistics and supply chain.
- Proven experience managing inventory control systems and order management platforms.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse operations , shipping carriers, and international logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or similar.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing a team in a deadline-driven environment.
