E-commerce Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented E-commerce Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of their online sales operations from a remote capacity. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of the entire e-commerce lifecycle, from inventory management and order fulfillment to customer service and logistics, supporting their Leeds -based business. You will play a key part in driving efficiency, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, and contributing to the scalable growth of the online business, working in a highly independent and results-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day e-commerce operations , including order processing, inventory management, and fulfillment logistics.
• Oversee relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and other vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Implement and refine operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
• Monitor key operational performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, shipping times, and return rates.
• Ensure the e-commerce website is functional, user-friendly, and accurately reflects product information and stock levels.
• Develop and manage the operational budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization.

Requirements

• Proven experience in e-commerce operations management or a related field.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and fulfillment processes.
• Experience working with e-commerce platforms and order management systems (OMS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and negotiate contracts effectively.
• Comfortable and productive working autonomously in a remote environment.
