About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and efficient E-commerce Operations Manager to oversee all day-to-day operations for their online business based in Cardiff . This role is central to ensuring a seamless customer experience from order placement through to fulfillment and returns. You will be responsible for optimizing operational processes, managing inventory, coordinating with logistics partners, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in managing complex supply chains and e-commerce operations within a fast-paced retail environment. This is a key position within a growing business, located centrally in Cardiff .
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end e-commerce operations, including order processing, inventory management, warehousing, and fulfillment.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and shipping carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Implement and refine operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues that may arise, ensuring minimal disruption to business.
- Collaborate with marketing and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive customer journey.
Requirements
- Proven experience in e-commerce operations management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems, warehouse operations, and fulfillment processes.
- Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) partners and shipping carriers.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret operational data to drive improvements.
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms and order management systems.
