E-commerce Operations Specialist - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive E-commerce Operations Specialist to join their dynamic FMCG team based in Bristol . This crucial role focuses on ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of their online sales channels, managing everything from inventory accuracy to order fulfilment and customer service excellence. You will work to optimize processes, resolve operational challenges, and enhance the overall customer experience for online shoppers. This hybrid position allows for flexibility, combining essential office-based collaboration with remote work capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day e-commerce operations, including website maintenance, order processing, and fulfilment coordination.
• Monitor inventory levels across all online channels, ensuring stock accuracy and minimizing stockouts.
• Collaborate with logistics partners and warehousing teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Manage customer service inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Analyze e-commerce performance metrics (e.g., conversion rates, AOV, delivery times) and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in the implementation of new e-commerce features, platforms, and operational processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in e-commerce operations or a similar role, preferably within the FMCG sector .
• Strong understanding of online retail processes, including order management, inventory control, and fulfilment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and MS Office Suite.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for a hybrid working model.
• Experience with customer service and managing online inquiries is advantageous.
