E-commerce Operations Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive E-commerce Operations Specialist to ensure the smooth and efficient running of their online sales channels. This role is critical for maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction through effective order fulfillment, inventory management, and logistics coordination. You will be at the heart of our client's day-to-day e-commerce activities in Birmingham , ensuring that products reach customers accurately and on time. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of e-commerce operational workflows, working within a busy warehouse and office environment focused on efficiency and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily e-commerce order processing, from receipt to dispatch, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
• Manage and optimize inventory levels across all online sales channels, conducting regular stock takes and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and shipping carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues, such as shipping delays, lost parcels, or incorrect shipments.
• Implement and refine operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.
• Monitor website order flow and liaise with the technical team for any platform-related issues affecting operations.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in e-commerce operations, logistics, or warehouse management.
• Proficiency with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and order management systems (OMS).
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Familiarity with shipping software and carrier management.
