About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced E-commerce Platform Developer to join their technical team in Bristol . This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing our e-commerce platform to ensure a robust, scalable, and user-friendly online shopping experience. You will work on critical aspects of our website, integrating new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring the platform meets the demands of our growing business. The ideal candidate is proficient in relevant programming languages and frameworks, with a deep understanding of e-commerce architecture and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy new features and functionalities for the e-commerce website using modern web technologies.
• Maintain and improve the performance, security, and scalability of the e-commerce platform.
• Integrate third-party applications and services, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and marketing tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and technical issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to define technical requirements and solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in e-commerce development and digital transformation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in web development, with a significant focus on e-commerce platforms .
• Strong proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, Python) and frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Laravel).
• Experience with e-commerce platforms like Magento, Shopify Plus, or similar.
• Knowledge of database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and API integrations.
• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) and UI/UX principles.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
