E-commerce Platform Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee the strategic development and ongoing optimization of their online store, with a hybrid working model based in Wolverhampton . This critical role involves managing the e-commerce platform's functionality, user experience, and performance to drive sales and customer satisfaction. You will be the central point of contact for platform-related initiatives, working closely with IT, marketing, and operations teams. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of e-commerce technologies, conversion rate optimization, and has a proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations and strategic roadmap of the e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
• Drive initiatives for platform enhancements, new feature implementations, and integrations to improve user experience and functionality.
• Oversee website performance, including site speed, uptime, and security, collaborating with technical teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and execute strategies for conversion rate optimization (CRO) based on data analysis, user feedback, and A/B testing.
• Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and product teams to ensure product information, promotions, and content are accurately and effectively displayed.
• Stay abreast of emerging e-commerce technologies and trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in managing and optimizing e-commerce platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of leading e-commerce platforms and their capabilities.
• Proven experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques and tools.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, UX/UI principles, and data analysis.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience working with IT, development, and marketing teams in a hybrid or agile environment.
