About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced E-commerce Platform Manager to take ownership of their online store's performance and development from their Bristol office. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of e-commerce technologies, user experience, and conversion rate optimization. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the platform, driving improvements, and ensuring a seamless, intuitive shopping experience for customers, playing a key role in the company's digital growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management and optimization of the company's e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
- Implement strategies to improve website performance, user experience (UX), and conversion rates (CRO).
- Manage product catalog, including uploads, categorization, and content accuracy to ensure optimal merchandising.
- Collaborate with development teams, designers, and marketing to plan and execute platform enhancements and new features.
- Monitor website analytics, generate performance reports, and identify areas for improvement based on data insights.
- Ensure the platform is secure, compliant, and integrates seamlessly with other business systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an E-commerce Platform Manager or similar role with responsibility for an online store.
- In-depth knowledge of major e-commerce platforms, their functionalities, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques.
- Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and reporting.
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
