E-commerce Platform Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee and enhance their online store operations in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the e-commerce website, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. You will work closely with marketing, IT, and operations teams to implement new features, optimize site performance, and drive online sales growth. The ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding of e-commerce platforms and a passion for creating exceptional digital customer journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform , including website content, product catalog, and promotions.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement new features, functionalities, and integrations to enhance the user experience.
• Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal uptime and speed.
• Analyze website data and user behavior to identify areas for improvement in navigation, conversion funnels, and overall user journey.
• Work with marketing teams to execute online campaigns, manage digital assets, and ensure brand consistency across the platform.
• Stay current with e-commerce trends, technologies, and best practices to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in managing and optimizing e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento, BigCommerce).
• Strong understanding of web technologies, UI/UX principles , and best practices for online retail.
• Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and interpreting data to drive decisions.
• Familiarity with digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, Email, Social Media) and their integration with the platform.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
