Early Years Educator Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Educator Assistant to support their team in a busy nursery setting located in Brighton . This part-time role is perfect for individuals passionate about early childhood development who want to gain valuable experience in a professional childcare environment. You will assist the lead educators in providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing atmosphere for young children, engaging them in a variety of play-based learning activities. Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead educators in planning and delivering daily activities and learning experiences.
• Supervise children during play, meals, and rest times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
• Help maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised learning environment.
• Assist with preparing snacks and mealtimes, promoting healthy eating habits.
• Observe children's behaviour and progress, reporting any concerns to the lead educator.

Requirements

• Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent, or willingness to undertake training.
• Experience working with young children is desirable but not essential.
• Genuine passion for early childhood education and development.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles and commitment to child welfare.
