Early Years Educator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a passionate and nurturing Early Years Educator to join their vibrant nursery school in Sunderland . This role is central to providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where young children can learn, play, and develop holistically. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of children aged from birth to five years. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering a love of learning, promoting social and emotional development, and building strong relationships with children and their families. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a varied and stimulating curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children in your care.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, using this information to inform future planning.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and carers, encouraging parental involvement in their child's learning.
• Manage challenging behaviour constructively and promote positive social interactions among children.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene, health, and safety are maintained throughout the nursery.

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working with young children in an early years setting.
• A strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and adults.
• Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to safeguarding.
