Early Years Practitioner - Nursery

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their vibrant nursery team in Leicester . This role is integral to providing a stimulating and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5, fostering their development across all key learning areas. You will work collaboratively with experienced educators, contributing to the planning and delivery of engaging activities that support each child's individual learning journey. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about early childhood education and committed to upholding the highest standards of care and safety within our well-regarded setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date learning journals.
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and security of all children under your care at all times.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with children, parents, and guardians, promoting effective communication.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and stimulating learning environment, ensuring resources are accessible and well-organized.
• Work closely with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery's services and provision.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Childcare and Education.
• Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
• In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults.
• A proactive approach to professional development and a commitment to lifelong learning in the childcare sector.
• Enhanced DBS check and willingness to undertake further training.
