Early Years Practitioner - Nursery

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join a nurturing nursery environment in Leicester . You will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education for young children, fostering their development across all key learning areas. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development according to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate and detailed records, and communicating effectively with parents about their child's development.
• Ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment, adhering to all health, safety, and safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with children, providing emotional support and encouraging their independence and social skills.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and positive team dynamic, sharing best practices and contributing to the continuous improvement of the nursery.
• Maintain excellent hygiene standards, including feeding, changing, and comforting children as needed.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in childcare, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (CACHE) or equivalent.
• Proven experience working with children aged 0-5 years in a nursery or similar early years setting.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
• Willingness to undertake a DBS check and maintain up-to-date safeguarding training.
