Early Years Practitioner

About the Role

Our client, a vibrant nursery in Coventry , is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their committed team. You will be responsible for providing a safe, caring, and stimulating play-based learning environment for children aged from birth to five years. This role is crucial in supporting children's development through creative and engaging activities, adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and eager to contribute to a nurturing atmosphere where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a range of age-appropriate activities to promote children's learning and development across all areas of the EYFS.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, communicating effectively with parents and carers.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safeguarding.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with children, offering them security and reassurance.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality approach to childcare.
• Support and assist in the preparation and tidying of the play areas and equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education or equivalent.
• Experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting.
• Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form positive relationships.
• A genuine passion for early years education and child development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
