Early Years Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join their well-established nursery in Birmingham . This role is integral to providing a stimulating and safe environment where young children can learn and grow. You will work as part of a committed team, delivering high-quality care and education that adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This position is ideal for someone passionate about child development and eager to contribute positively to the lives of children within the West Midlands community, fostering their social, emotional, and educational milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's learning and development across all EYFS areas.
• Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents about their child's journey.
• Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all children in your care at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and fostering their independence.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and professionalism within the nursery.
• Prepare and serve nutritious snacks and meals, assisting children with personal care routines as needed.

Requirements

• Hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 is essential.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• First Aid certification is advantageous.
