About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their well-regarded nursery in Birmingham . You will play a crucial role in providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and develop to their full potential. Working as part of a supportive team, you will engage with children aged 0-5, facilitating their learning through play-based activities and adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education to contribute to a positive and dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a range of engaging and age-appropriate activities for children, following the EYFS framework .
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care, adhering to strict safeguarding policies.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, contributing to a supportive team atmosphere.
- Prepare and tidy play areas, ensuring a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
- Assist with daily routines, including feeding, hygiene, and nappy changing, with sensitivity and care.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
- A solid understanding of child development principles and the EYFS curriculum .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and adults.
- A genuine passion for childcare and a commitment to supporting children's learning journey.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
