Early Years Room Leader

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and inspiring Early Years Room Leader to manage a dedicated room within their outstanding nursery in Oxford . This vital role involves leading a team of practitioners, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for children aged 0-5, and fostering a stimulating and nurturing learning environment. You will play a key part in implementing the EYFS framework , supporting children's developmental milestones, and building strong relationships with parents. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of early years practitioners, providing guidance and support.
• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with the EYFS framework .
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and security of all children within the designated room.
• Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's progress, documenting key achievements and next steps.
• Maintain excellent communication with parents regarding their child's development and nursery activities.
• Uphold and promote the nursery's policies and procedures, contributing to a positive and effective working environment.

Requirements

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Proven experience working in an early years setting, with demonstrable experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge and practical application of the EYFS framework .
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver outstanding childcare in Oxford .
