Early Years Support Worker

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and caring Early Years Support Worker to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role focuses on providing essential support within an early years setting, assisting with the daily care and educational activities for young children. You will work closely with lead practitioners to ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment, contributing to the positive development of every child. This hybrid role offers the chance to engage directly with children while also having some flexibility for planning or administrative tasks that can be managed remotely, balancing hands-on experience with adaptable working practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead practitioners in delivering daily care and educational activities for young children.
• Support children's play, learning, and social development under guidance.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all children.
• Help with meal times, nappy changing, and personal care routines as needed.
• Observe children's progress and contribute to their learning records.
• Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents.

Requirements

• Experience in a childcare setting or working with young children is preferred.
• A passion for early childhood development and education.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles in a childcare context.
• Ability to undertake tasks both on-site and potentially remotely as needed.
• Enthusiasm, patience, and a nurturing attitude.
