Early Years Teacher
Location: Greenwich, South-East London
Salary: £40,372–£59,864 per year, M1–UPS3
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Start date: 21 September 2026
An inclusive and ambitious primary school in Greenwich is looking for an inspiring Early Years Teacher to lead a class within its well-resourced EYFS provision. This long-term role offers the chance to join a collaborative team that places purposeful play, early language and strong relationships at the heart of learning.
The school is seeking an Early Years Teacher who can create a stimulating environment, establish positive routines and use assessment thoughtfully to move children forward. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and engaged support staff.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative lessons in line with the EYFS framework
- Develop communication, early literacy, numeracy and personal skills
- Maintain an enabling indoor and outdoor learning environment
- Assess progress and use observations to plan meaningful next steps
- Work closely with families, teaching assistants and the wider school team
Promote high expectations for behaviour, inclusion and safeguarding The ideal Early Years Teacher will have:
- UK QTS and recent EYFS teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework
- Effective classroom organisation and assessment skills
- A nurturing, reflective and ambitious teaching style
