Earthworks Examiner/ Geotechnical Asset Engineer

Earthworks Examiners - Network Rail Experience Required York - £427/day London - £446/day We are looking for experienced Earthworks Examiners / Geotechnical professionals to support the delivery of Earthwork Examinations across the rail network. The role will involve planning, managing and undertaking Earthwork Examinations in accordance with NR/L3/CIV/065 - Examination of Earthworks Manual. Key responsibilities include:

• Undertaking desk-based site reconnaissance to establish appropriate access strategies for Earthwork Examinations
• Liaising with Access Planning teams to finalise access arrangements, logistics and Safe Work Packs
• Planning access opportunities, possessions and worksites and identifying opportunities for integration
• Undertaking and completing Earthwork Examinations in accordance with NR/L3/CIV/065
• Completing on-site activities safely and efficiently in accordance with Safe Systems of Work, method statements and relevant Network Rail standards
• Accurately recording completed and outstanding work
• Closing out rejected examinations and responding to examination feedback
• Supporting the wider Geotechnical Examination Team with delivery requirements Essential requirements: ✓ COSS or IWA competency allowing you to work on the operational railway ✓ Previously assessed to Network Rail Level 3 Soil Slope Examinations (GEO-I-S) ✓ Previously assessed to Network Rail Level 3 Rock Slope Examinations (GEO-I-R) ✓ Experience using the JBA database and GizMapp ✓ Proven experience producing high-quality Earthwork Examinations to CIV/065 standard ✓ Knowledge of relevant railway geography and network capability Rates: York: £427 per day London: £446 per day This opportunity is particularly suited to experienced Network Rail Earthworks Examiners / Geotechnical Asset Engineers who already hold the required competencies and can operate effectively within the railway environment.
