Job Description
Job title: EC&I Technician, Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, Start date: ASAP, Salary Range: £45,000-£50,000 per annum, Benefits Package: Competitive benefits package (details available on application), Location: Rochester, Kent, Full Site Based/Hybrid/Remote Working: Full Site Based, Hours of work: Day Shift
Role information
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) systems.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Support the installation, commissioning and testing of new electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete relevant documentation.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to support operational objectives.
Qualifications/Experience Required
- HNC or HND in Electrical, Electronic, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent level)
- Experience working as an EC&I Technician within an industrial, manufacturing, process or highly regulated environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive and safety-focused approach.
