- Help ensure the highest ethical and methodological standards and best practices are used for conducting research, insight and data collection.
- Manage projects with external research partners, think tanks, and academics to generate original insights.
What you will need
- Extensive background in economics, with strong experience in applied economic analysis, research, or forecasting (e.g., from government, consultancy, or professional bodies).
- Strong expertise in producing economic commentary, reports, or publications for external technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience of running primary research projects with expertise in questionnaire design, sampling techniques, weighting and quota management to avoid data bias.
- Knowledge of Market Research Society's Code of Conduct would be desirable.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, including proficiency with economic data and analytical tools such as advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Power BI.
