Job Description
Job Summary
Location: Coventry. Role: Early Career Teacher (ECT) in Year 4. Start: September 2026. Full time, 1‑year contract with potential for permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver full curriculum to a Year 4 class.
- Plan, assess and mark lessons.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Build rapport with colleagues, students and parents.
- Work within the KS2 curriculum and EYFS/KS1 knowledge base.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or actively working towards QTS.
- Recent relevant teaching experience in a primary school.
- Strong classroom‑management skills and positive proactive attitude.
- Excellent time‑management, organisation and marking skills.
- Knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 or KS2 curriculum.
- Ability to work confidentially and contribute to safeguarding.
- References covering last two years of education and employment.
Additional Information
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. A thorough interview, reference checks and an Enhanced DBS check are required.
