Educational Technology Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Educational Technology Specialist to enhance the integration and effective use of technology in teaching and learning across their campuses. This role involves providing technical support, training, and strategic guidance to educators and students on various educational platforms and tools. You will play a key role in evaluating, recommending, and implementing new technologies to improve educational outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for educational software, hardware, and online learning platforms.
• Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops for faculty and staff on effective use of educational technologies.
• Evaluate emerging educational technologies and make recommendations for adoption based on pedagogical value and institutional needs.
• Collaborate with IT departments and academic staff to ensure seamless integration of technology into the curriculum.
• Create user guides, tutorials, and other resources to support the effective use of educational tools.
• Assist in the management and maintenance of the institution's Learning Management System (LMS).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with educational technology in an academic setting.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas) and common ed-tech tools.
• Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and how technology can enhance teaching and learning.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a campus environment.
