About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic Educational Technology Specialist to join their forward-thinking team in Coventry . You will be instrumental in integrating and supporting the use of innovative technologies within the educational framework, enhancing teaching and learning experiences for both educators and students. This hybrid role requires a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, focusing on empowering staff through effective technology adoption. You will work closely with faculty, IT support, and leadership to identify needs, implement solutions, and provide ongoing training and support to ensure the successful deployment of digital tools across the institution, fostering a culture of technological advancement and pedagogical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new educational technologies and platforms.
- Provide technical support and training to staff and students on various educational software and hardware.
- Develop and maintain documentation, tutorials, and best practice guides for educational technology tools.
- Collaborate with faculty to design and integrate technology into their teaching strategies effectively.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to educational software, hardware, and network connectivity.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in educational technology and their potential applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an educational technology support or development role.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas.
- Strong understanding of educational software, hardware, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to train diverse user groups.
