Electrical & Electronics Engineer

I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical & Electronics Engineer to join our Energy and Defence client, supporting both new product development and through-life engineering across their specialist product range.

This is a hands-on engineering role involving everything from new design work through to upgrades, modifications and technical support for existing equipment in the field.

The role will include:

• Electrical and electronics design
• Producing engineering calculations
• Supporting new product development and existing product upgrades
• Checking electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Component and material selection
• Creating specifications, test procedures, certification and reports
• Bills of Materials and part number creation
• Working closely with Production, Procurement, Sales and Engineering teams
• Ensuring designs meet relevant internal, external and regulatory standards

What we’re looking for:

• Good knowledge of electrical design standards
• Electrical & Electronics Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
• Product design experience – particularly DC systems – would be advantageous
• Experience working to marine and defence standards
• Knowledge of classification society requirements, particularly Lloyd’s Register and DNV

This would suit an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of technical challenges and working across the full engineering lifecycle, from initial design through to delivery and field support.
