Electrical Commissioning Engineer – Contract – South-West
Location: South-West
This is an excellent opportunity to join a world leading cleantech, renewable and alternative energy company involved in the development of novel green energy and fuel solutions on a global scale.
The role will be part time from September before gradually becoming full time and will run until c.December (5 days p/w).
The role is outside IR35.
Role & Responsibilities
* Supporting the commissioning of a major new clean energy facility for the provision of alternative transportation fuels.
* Primarily involved with the commissioning of the electrical systems during the cold and hot commissioning.
* Co-ordinating the activities associated with the power block and ancillary systems start up.
* Updating the plant operating procedures/instructions where required.
* Reporting any defects and liaise with the Operation and Maintenance Managers for updating the master punchlist/SMP.
* Writing commissioning progress reports for electrical systems.
* Assist the Plant and the Operations Managers with optimising the process during operational trials.
Key Skills & Knowledge
* Must have significant experience in the electrical commissioning in the power gen sector, clean energy plant experience a bonus.
* Relevant qualification (HNC / HND or above).
* CCNSG Safety Passport essential - SSTS/SMSTS cards would be an advantage.
Benefits
Initially a 6 month contract but there is a very good chance the contract will be extended. This role is deemed outside IR35
