About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join their innovative team in Cambridge . Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for automated machinery and processes.
- Develop and maintain electrical control panel designs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define control system requirements and specifications.
- Implement system upgrades and modifications to enhance performance, safety, and functionality.
- Stay current with advancements in automation technology and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering , Automation, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in designing and implementing industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, motor controls, and instrumentation.
- Experience with VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networking protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
