About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Electrical Design Drafter to support their engineering team in Plymouth, Devon . In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate and compliant electrical drawings and schematics based on design engineer specifications. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring that all technical documentation is up-to-date and meets project requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layout plans using CAD software.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards, industry codes, and client specifications.
• Revise and update existing electrical drawings as required based on design changes or site feedback.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to clarify design intent and resolve drawing discrepancies.
• Maintain an organized filing system for all design documentation and revisions.
• Assist in the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on electrical designs.

Requirements

• HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Drafter or CAD Technician.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software.
• Strong understanding of electrical symbols, components, and basic circuit principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.
